Yes, you may take pictures. Visitors may also use monopods or selfie-sticks with care. Tripods and drones are not allowed. Descanso Gardens does not allow animals, except for ADA-designated service animals. Animal welfare was one of our top priorities while designing this event. We specifically chose areas of the Gardens with wildlife concerns in mind, limiting the walk to areas that are already well-used for evening events. The light displays contained within the 1-mile route are designed not to bleed into areas of the Gardens where disruption to wildlife habitats is a concern.
Enchanted is a rain-or-shine event. Dress appropriately and bring an umbrella if necessary! For press inquiries, please see our press pass policy here.
Please note: Descanso is home to many animals including birds, deer, mountain lions, bears, snakes, squirrels and more. Enjoy viewing these creatures, but remember that this is their home and we are the visitors.
It is illegal and harmful to people and wildlife to approach, feed, handle, capture or harass any animal. Please keep a safe distance. Getting too close, feeding and touching are all things that can put you and the animal in danger. To find out more about the animals that live at Descanso or to report an animal sighting, please visit the Visitor Center. Visitors to Descanso Gardens enter at their own risk.

It is not recommended that photo sensitive epileptics attend The Enchanted Forest.
